Albin "Beanie" Stachura age 96, of Duncan, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Cottonwood Place in Columbus.
Albin was born January 17, 1918 in Polk County to Bartholomew and Balbina (Micek) Stachura. He graduated from St. Stanislaus High School in 1937. Albin served in the United States Army during WWII. In 1946 he returned to Duncan where he worked for the Duncan Hardware Store and Duncan Irrigation. Albin married Delphine Jarosz on June 3, 1947 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Tarnov. He then farmed until retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where he was a trustee and usher, Holy Name Society, Cemetery Board, Duncan Fire Department where he served on its board for 20 years and V.F.W. Post #10724. He served on the school board and was past president of the Duncan Lions Club.

Daughter: Donna Siemek of Duncan
Grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew (Natosha), Adam, Sarah, Patrick Siemek
Great Grandchildren: Emma, Abbi, Theodore Siemek
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Delphine, brothers: John, Felix
