Alan Hoppenstedt, 49, of Columbus, Ne. died Sunday April 3rd 2011 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm, Tuesday April 12th at McKown Funeral Home.
He was born Dec. 22nd 1961 in Columbus, to Lena & Orville Hoppenstedt
Survivors included his mother, Lena Larsen of Columbus; brother Ronnie Baxter and his wife Dianna, of Oklahoma City, Ok; sister, Shirley Oettinger and her husband, Gene, of Columbus; brother Jim Hoppenstedt and his wife, Marie of Kearney.
He is also survived by 5 Nieces and Nephews; Laurie Kokosis (husband, Mike) of Algonquin, IL.; Annette Pascarelli (husband Joe) of Olathe, Ks.; Tim Baxter (wife Cynthia) of Denton, Tx.; Jeff & Eric Hoppenstedt of Kearney.
He grew up in Columbus and was a member of the Methodist Church. He worked at Civil Defense for 30 yrs and at the time of his death he worked at the Detention Center.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Orville Hoppenstedt; Niece, Angie Brockman and grandparents.
Memorials are suggested to the family
