Agnes Mary Oades, 84, of Omaha, formerly of Columbus died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at the Omaha Nursing Center. Funeral services are 10:30 am Saturday, July 29 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is on Friday from 5-7 pm at St. Bonaventure Church with a Vigil service at 7 pm, also at the church. Visitation continues Saturday morning from 10-10:30 at St. Bonaventure Church. Interment is in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Shelby.
Agnes Mary Oades was born March 5, 1922 in Shelby, Nebraska to Herman W. and Eva M. (Schott) Alt. Agnes grew up in Shelby where she lived for 30 years before moving to Columbus. She married Eldon L. Oades on June 1, 1943 in Shelby. Agnes worked at Becton-Dickinson until retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus, Catholic Daughters of America Court of the Little Flower #988, Christian Women, Legion of Mary, and the Becton Dickinson Alumni Association.
She is survived by:
