Agnes Hottovy, age 91, of Columbus, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Agnes was born January 11, 1925 in Brainard, Nebraska to Emil and Elizabeth (Duhon) Kobza. She received her Elementary Education at Holy Trinity School and graduated from Brainard High School. She married John F. Hottovy on August 7, 1945 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard. They lived on farms near Ulysses and David City for 40 years before retiring and moving to Columbus in 1986. Along with raising her family Agnes worked for many years at Dale Electronics. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and active with the Quilting Group. Agnes and John served as Immaculate Conception Parish Representatives for the Founding and Construction of Aquinas High School. All nine of their children graduated from Aquinas High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
