Adeline died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Adeline Turek was born June 10, 1924 in Ulysses, Nebraska to August and Rose (Trousil) Matulka. She attended rural country school near Ulysses. On April 10, 1945 Adeline was united in marriage to Ernest Turek at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight, Nebraska. The couple lived and farmed near Surprise, Nebraska. In 1967 they moved to Columbus but continued to farm. Adeline worked for Dale Electronics, Behlen Cafeteria, King's Food Host and sold Avon. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Catholic Workman, Ulysses Altar Society & Surprise PTA. Adeline enjoyed dancing, playing cards, collecting chickens, baking and traveling. Her trips included Rome, Canada, the Holy Land and all fifty states.
