Elizabeth L. Jarecki, age 85, of Columbus died Sunday April 1, 2001 at her home. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 4, 2001 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Tom Weisbecker officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. A Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and a Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Elizabeth L. Jarecki was born September 24, 1915 in Elyria, Nebraska to Joseph and Valeria (Podraza) Kiolbasa. She attended schools in Merrick County. On November 22, 1933 she was united in marriage to Emory S. Jarecki at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Clarks. The couple farmed in the Columbus area until moving to a farm near Lindsay in 1942. Following retirement in 1971 they moved back to Columbus. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and St. Bonaventure Guild in Columbus.
