Violet Jahn, age 91, of Columbus died Wednesday; November 12, 2003 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday; November 14, 2003 at the Word of Life Church in Columbus. Pastor Don Owen will officiate. Visitation is Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home and Friday morning 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery.
Violet Jahn was born June 25, 1912 in Cedar County, Nebraska to Albin and Hannah Anderson. She graduated from Wausa High School in Wausa, Nebraska. She married Alfred P. Jahn on June 29, 1943 in Pierce, Nebraska. The couple farmed until moving to Columbus in 1964. Violet was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and playing the piano and drums. She was active at the Senior Citizens Center and played in the Mulligan Stew Band. She was a member of the Word Of Life Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister and 6 brothers
