Ronald H. Jacobs, Sr., age 91, of Columbus formerly of St. Edward, Nebraska died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus. Visitation is 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Following the visitation a graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus with a meal at Wunderlich's Catering to follow.
Ronald H. Jacobs, Sr. was born September 22, 1916 in Bellwood, Nebraska to Henry and Rose (Bock) Jacobs. He grew up in Bellwood and the Oconee area near Columbus. On January 11, 1939 Ronald married Florence Vincent. He later married Frances Peterson on February 28, 1974. Ron farmed and worked road construction until becoming manager of Parkview Trailer Court in Columbus. In 1974 he moved to St. Edward. Ron enjoyed gardening and fishing
