Raymond E. Hall, age 75 of Columbus died Wednesday February 14, 2001 at his home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 17, 2001 at the St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial will be at the All Saints Cemetery in Columbus with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.

Visitation is from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. also at McKown Funeral Home.

Ray was born December 23, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Eva (Spake) Hall. He moved to Columbus as a small child and then back to Chicago where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater from 1944-1946. Following his discharge Ray settled in Columbus. He married Donna Snyder on September 6, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in rural Bellwood, Nebraska. He worked for the John Deere Dealership for 33 years and then for Columbus Irrigation for 15 years.

Ray was a member of the V.F.W. #3704, St. Isidore Catholic Church, Holy Name Society & was involved in other church functions.
