Leslie L. "Red" Carlson, age 81, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at his home. There will be no services.

Leslie L. "Red" Carlson was born March 1, 1926 in Herndon, Kansas to Albert and Mary (Slagle) Carlson. He grew up in western Nebraska and served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII from December 1945 - January 1949. On February 5, 1948 he was united in marriage to Dorlas Maybelle Peters in Spokane, Washington. Red worked as a Section Foreman for Union Pacific Railroad for 36 years until retiring in February of 1986.

Sister: Helen M. Leonhardt of Scottsbluff, NE
Sister: Betty A. Smith of Crane, TX
