Kenneth Virgil Beerbohm, age 71, of Nickerson, formerly of Columbus, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at his home. Services are 10:30 am Monday, November 13 at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus (2720 28th Street) with Reverends Michael V. Klatt and Thomas Volker officiating. Visitation is on Sunday from 5:00 -9:00 pm at McKown Funeral Home and continues Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 am Monday, also at the church. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm Monday at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Wisner with Military Honors by the Wisner V.F.W. Post #5767.
Kenneth Virgil Beerbohm was born December 14, 1934 in Beemer, Nebraska to August and Rosa (Wiese) Beerbohm. He served in the US Army from January 1955 to January 1957. Kenny farmed for over 20 years near Snyder, Nebraska before moving to Fremont and then to Columbus where he worked as a car dealer, real estate broker, and auctioneer. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and a greeter. Kenny was also the Past President of the District 29 School Board in Cumming County.
