Evelyn M. Speckmann of Columbus died Friday, August 10, 2012 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Evelyn M. Speckmann was born October 5, 1918 in Yutan, NE to George and Helen (Mumm) Heldt. She was raised in the Yutan area and graduated from Yutan High School. On August 6, 1936, she was united in marriage to John Speckmann in Yutan. In 1955 they moved to Columbus where they resided since. Evelyn worked as a hostess at Louies Restaurant, Schwesers, and at the Muffin Shoppe. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by: Daughter Karla Baumert of Columbus Daughter Karen (Adrian) Sabatka of Wheat Ridge, CO Daughter Rita (Gaylord) Kafka of Montgomery, AL 7 Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews
She is preceded in death by: Husband John Speckmann in 1985 Parents Sister Lorraine Parrish Brother Edgar Heldt Son-in-law Joseph Baumert
