Virginia died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus, Nebraska.
Virginia Lee Swanson was born May 10, 1926 in Loup City, Nebraska to Merle and Margaret (McNeill) White. In the 1950s she worked at the Omaha Childrens Hospital. Virginia married Harlan Swanson on June 11, 1961. The couple lived in St. Edward before moving to Columbus. Virginia enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers, keeping journals of her favorite movie stars and going to tractor pull shows with her husband.
