Leonard died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Leonard P. Iwanski was born June 22, 1926 in Columbus, Nebraska to Paul and Clara (Sutko) Iwanski. He graduated from Kramer High School in 1944. He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952. He was a Purple Heart recipient. Leonard worked at Dales Electronics from 1953-1961. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Knight of Columbus, Holy Name, Disabled American Veterans, V.F.W. Post #3704, American Legion Hartman Post #84 and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed playing cards, sporting events, family gatherings and was a musician in several local bands. Leonard supported several organizations and charities.
Leonard is survived by: Sister Lorraine Marlar of Pelatka, FL Brother-in-law Norman Loseke of Columbus, NE Nephew Dana (Michelle) Loseke of Sioux Falls, SD Niece Mary (Virg) Stradley of Columbus, NE Niece Sharon Cech of Omaha, NE Niece Cindy (Steve) Thorne of Ft. Collins, CO 15- Great Nieces & Nephews
