Clara Trofholz, 86, of Columbus died Saturday April 28 at Valhaven Nursing Center in Valley, NE. Services are 10:30 pm Tuesday May 1, at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. Visitation will begin after 4 pm Monday at McKown Funeral Home. There will be a 4 pm Guild rosary and a 7 pm Vigil Monday at the Funeral Home. Visitation continues Tuesday Morning from 8-10 am at the funeral home. The burial will be at 2:30 pm at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Leshara, NE.
Clara was born May 11, 1914 in Platte County to Frank & Mary (Duranski) Krzycki. She grew up in Platte County and attended District 9 school. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital from 1953-1979. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and St. Bonaventure Ladies Guild.
She is survived by 3 sons, Ray of Leshara, Clarence of California, and Eugene of Oregon, one brother Edward of Columbus, one sister Valerie Kush of California, and a sister-in-law Juel Krzycki of Schuyler. She has 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
