We are still in shock of Greg's passing. I remember Linda taking me to his Scotus track meets as a kid, his blue car with the white stripes, and the bags of sunflower seeds he would eat while watching golf. He was so proud of his kids.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love Susan, John, and boys

Very very sad to hear of Greg's passing. Kind of in shock. He was such fun back in the day, always enjoyed his humor. I pray he was a believer and is in heaven with our Savior.

When I got my first job out of college in Omaha, I'd come home to messages on my answering machine, "Meet me at the Drover." It was Uncle Greg, who would treat me to dinner when he was in Omaha from the west coast on business. We would always discuss the newest features of his latest rental car, usually a sensible sedan. Fast forward many years later, he and Patti flew into Denver from the west, and I from the east, and he was renting a car to drive us up to Estes Park for Thanksgiving. I'm curbside at DIA waiting for a sensible sedan, when a Hummer pulls up, window down, voice saying, "Get in! Get in!" We yelled and laughed and blasted music as it started snowing on our way up the canyon. Such fun! You are very missed, Uncle Greg!

I was fortunate to know Greg over the last eight years. After learning of Greg's passing, I thought of my time with him at Fort Robinson in June 2017. I am picturing him in the kitchen, covering a variety of topics with me- including his latest rock band performance. Greg's "zest for life" shone through his hearty laugh and kindly smile. He was a good man that will be missed.

I will always remember my Uncle Greg's good cheer as a defining trait. He always greeted my brothers and sisters and me with his heartwarming grin and arms wide open for a hug. I remember when he once gave me a ride to the airport in Omaha to catch an early morning flight when I was heading back to school from a college break. We stopped at a gas station, and he came back out with a travel mug of coffee. He handed it to me and said, "Say hello to your new travel mug!" He had a gift for being upbeat, even before the sun came up! I will miss him greatly, as I know many will.

Dear Patti, Amy, Stu and every relative of Greg,
We have and are holding you in our hearts. Why do the good die young? Greg was a great great friend, roommate in college days, co conspirator at SCC.
No words can express the fun he brought. His music passion. Some lucky guys had their very first speakers (big) made by Greg Voberil. Many a song plays on the radio and I think that sounds like Greg! We love you, we are sorry and imagine he is rocking and golfing in beauty and peace beyond our understanding in Heaven. May you (& we) all carry Greg forward in words and actions. Love T & S

It is so sad that Greg has left us too soon. He was always there for me when I needed him and was truly a pleasure to be around. We had many good times together and I will miss him. Every time I have a good steak or get out on the golf course or listen to 70's rock I'll be reminded of him. God Bless.

Greg was a good friend and I am shocked at his passing so young. I will always remember him as he was always friendly and courteous to everyone he dealt with. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
