Family of Bub,
Doug and I want to express our deepest sympathy! He was always ready to lend a helping hand and was considered a good friend. We enjoyed him stopping by when he would drive by. We will miss Bubba. May the Good Lord hold all of you in His loving arms and give you peace as you go through these troubling days.

Bub was a classmate of mine in Woodbine, IA. He always had fun! I remember the band that he played in during high school-Grapes of Wrath. He loved being a part of that group. My sympathy to his family.

Bub and I started kindergarten together in a country school in 1955. We were the only ones in our class. We were neighbors, classmates, and buddies. We road the same school buss to town school. We both graduated in 1968. Although I haven't seen Bub but a few times in the last 40 years, I feel I have lost a part of my past.

Mike remembers an incident from his childhood when he visited Bub on the farm. Bub was throwing eggs at Mike after Marie had told him not to waste eggs, so he took Mike's t-shirt and threw it in the hog pen to get rid of the evidence and gave Mike one of his. Just wanted to share that memory. Sorry he won't be around to share stories with. He will be missed by a large family and many friends.

We are thinking of you girls and your families as you go through this very sad time. Your dad was so proud of all of you and loved you so much. Keep your father and your heavenly Fathers love in your heart to sustain you in the days ahead.

Heather, Amy, and Lori and families, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. No matter where I would see him he also would say "hey Gabby". A nickname he gave me because I was always talking to someone! Hope knowing he is with your mom will help ease some of your sorrow. Keeping you in our prayers.

Cousin Bub, I pray for you and your family at this time of passage from one phase of your life to the next. I remember various "wild" times, such as you chasing us with a dead bull snake on the farm, or times spent with Warren McHugh laughing and singing. And you always calling people "little shit." Rest in peace.
