Though I never got to see her since i was a very young girl. It is funny my mom Frances had been saying the last week i really need to find Clara's phone number, the number she had was disconnected. We both talked that perhaps she was in a home. My Mother will be very saddened to loose the last sister born of 9 children of Nelly and Charles. Please know that Frances and all the family here on the west coast, send our love and condolenses to our relatives and their families in Columbus, Ne. and you all are never from our thoughts and prayers. Anyone in the family is most welcome to contact me, I surely would love to be in touch with my relatives. I go by Dee Dee ( Della named after Aunt Della). So very sad that we can not make a journey to be there in person. Frances still lives on her own and is 87. Tho she is getting to the point she will soon need a home herself. She has been living with Lymphoma for about 10 yrs now. God has graced her with amazing courage endurance and strength. We send our best to you all there and Clara will be remembered by us here on the West coast with prayers. God Bless, The Jensen Family Name: Frances (Fritzy) Ellsworth and family commentsIt is with great sadness that I have heard of my dear sister Clara's passing on. She was a special sister to me, as I now think fondly of the many times we shared. My heart is filled with sorrow now that both Della and Clara have passed in such recent time. I'm very saddened as my own health is such that I haven't been able to get back to Columbus for so many years, and of course attend the services and memorials of my dear sisters. To the Sullivan and extended family, I share my thoughts and love to you all there. I was fortunate to have spent some time visiting with Clara when Shirley and Donnie were little children and spending some treasured time with them, as I can recall looking out into the potato field while inside Clara's house and seeing those two kids playing out there which they so loved to do. I have many memories that come-and-go of my family and of the times we all spent together in Columbus. My hope is that all of the family will be together again in a happy place for us all. With much love, Aunt Fritzy. Name: Lyle and Dorothy Wolfe commentsShirley and Don, Our sincere condolences to your families. I will always remember your Dad and Mom from the bowling alley and what good bowlers they were. Cherish all your memories. Lyle and Dot(Gladfelter) Wolfe Name: Deb, Mike & Paige Miller commentsWe want all of Clara's family to know we send out deepest sympathy to all of you. She was "Granny" to everyone and such a very down to earth person, she always welcomed people that would stop by her house, espicially when Debbie, Mark, Chris, & Josh were home. There always seemed to be a big gathering when they were there. It's so difficult to loose someone that has made such an impact on your lives for so many years, recently we lost both of Mike's parents so we know exactly how you are all feeling at this time, just keep her close in your hearts and she will always be there. May "Granny" rest in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless you all!! Name: Deb, Mike, & Paige Miller commentsTo all of Clara's family, Please accept our sincere sympathy in the loss of "Granny" she was always known as "Granny" to everyone, she had a very welcoming heart to anyone that stopped by espicially when Debbie, Mark, Chris & Josh were home for a couple of weeks in the summer. We recently lost both of Mike's parents so we know how difficult things may seem right now but keep "Granny" in your heart and she will always be right there with you. May she rest in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless you all!!! Name: Terry Ellsworth commentsSympathies to all the Sullivan and extended families. Dear Aunt Clara was a special lady...my mother Fritzy fondly speaks of her and the times at the house there. How nice it was there with the gardening and vegetables. She has mentioned how Clara made such wonderful "homemade" jars of Dill Pickles (amongst other things) and how she just loved to be tasting those wonderful fresh Dill Pickles that Clara made. We last visited together there many years ago...probably back when I was child in 1973 or so. But I do have distinct memories of Columbus and meeting Shirley & Donnie and various cousins. I have a 25-year-old son Steven and a new 2-year-old boy named Dylan...my wife's name is Roxanne. We all send our heart-filled thoughts of love to you all and wish God's blessings for you. Name: Peter& Karen(Kuta)Ward commentsDear Neighbors, Favorite people, favorite places, favorite memories of the past... These are the joys of a lifetime...these are the things that last. What beautiful and fun memories we all shared and were so blessed to have with the Sullivan family. Clara and Della made a difference in all our lives with their genuine personalities. At times we referred to Clara/Della or Della/Clara as one. They loved to sing and tell stories and always dressed to a "T"and ready for BINGO...God Bless and remember all the love they passed on to each of us. Shirley & Donnie..how SPECIAL of a Mom you were blessed with! Love and God's blessings. The Ward's Name: John Inks commentsMy sincere condolences on your recent loss. May the sorrow of this loss soon pass, and be replaced by fond memories. |
