Merlyn Houser

Merlyn D. Houser, 77, of Columbus died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Columbus Community Hospital.  Services are 2:00 pm Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Ritter officiating.  Visitation is Wednesday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.  Interment is in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.

Merlyn was born March 25, 1930 on a farm 3 miles south of Columbus to Albert and Roxie (Fouts) Houser.  He lived in Columbus all of his life where he farmed by Lakeview and worked as a welder for 32 years.  He retired in 1985. Merlyn enjoyed the Price is Right and coffee in the afternoons.
