I always enjoyed the times I shared with Ray throughout my life. He used to hang out at my grandpa Ron's car lot. Later in life when I was back in town visiting, I would have coffee with him and all of his coffee buddies. He always had a smile on his face when I would see him and could tell a good story. I had manny fond memories of Ray and his stories of youth in NY, His Flight training and stories about Columbus, Dale Electronics early years, his smile and friendship helped me through some tough times in the last 6 years. He was a true gentleman and a pioneer in Aviation. He has made contributions to many people's lives and I will always remember his positive approach to life and his dedication to educating others. Zane, He also spoke of you and I believe you were in Navy as an AT??? I was also in Navy as AT1 from 1961 to 1969. My thoughts are with the Wiseman family at this time. We often joked about "OIL". Your entire family were wonderful neighbors of my grandparents Al and Alyce Godel. Many of times as a kid I enjoyed playing around the cornfield that led to your backyard, and to be greated by Ray or yourself. It is one of many special memories I hold on to.
