In Memory of Annie Klein
Annie Klein, 84, of Columbus died Friday, January 25, 2008 at David Place in David City. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Monday at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation begins on Sunday after 2 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Cystic Fibrosis.
Annie Elizabeth Klein was born July 4, 1923 in
Bellwood, NE to Emil & Leona (Roelandts) DeBaets. She was raised in
Butler County and attended Marietta School. She married Anton "Tony"
Klein on February 3, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ulysses,
NE. The couple lived on a farm near Ulysses for 23 years, then moved to
Columbus where Annie worked as head cook at St. Isidore School for 23
years.
Annie enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren
and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint,
gardening, and collecting porcelain dolls. She is survived by:
