The KIRSTINES&JAEGGIS FROM THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD. Name: Sue Jarecki commentsI was surprise when I returned to work on Thurs. to hear of your Father's passing.I just talked to him Friday evening when I brought their meal to their room. I asked your Father how he was doing and he said not so good. I started working at Prairie Village just a year ago. I'll always remember how much your parents loved their coffee, so much that they brought their own very large coffee mugs. Your Dad and I would start laughing when those two mugs would almost empty my coffee pot. I thank God that I got to know such nice people as your parents and I will deeply miss them. My Deepest Sympathy Sue Name: Ron & Barb Sypal commentsDearest Alice and family, What can we say after hearing the news from Kathy late Friday evening that Rollie passed away. To make things even tougher, we were leaving for two weeks and knew we'd be unable to attend the rosary and funeral. There wasn't a day when we were gone that we didn't think of Rollie and all of you folks during this time of sorrow. We're so glad that we went to the hospital to visit Rollie late Thursday afternoon before he died. We had such a great visit and with his typical laugh, joking around and smile, he seemed like his old self even though he said he was feeling a little rough. He told us was looking forward to going home on Friday. We gave him hugs and said our good byes, and he gave his typical firm handshake and wave as we walked out the door. As you know, Alice and Rollie were considered our third set of parents. Such a beautiful couple and one of the best neighbors for 37 years anyone could ever know and ask for. Alice and Rollie, visits on your front porch and patio are missed, the huge gardens in the empty lots behind us we shared in the earlier years, the card games with the Zocholls and Collins are treasured memories that we'll never forget. To the Schaecher children, you were also like brothers and sisters to us when growing up. It seems like we were part of your family at times. Please stop in for a visit when you're around in the neighborhood, ok? May the the peace of Christ be with you during this difficult time. Our love and prayers to each and every one of you.
