Jean M. Sheldon

Jean M. Sheldon, age 75, of Columbus, Nebraska died Monday, February 25, 2008 at Mory's Haven in Columbus.  Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus with Reverend M. Wendell Davis officiating.  Visitation is 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home.

Jean M. Sheldon was born October 9, 1932 in Petersburg, Nebraska to Elmer and Sadie (Weiand) James. She grew up in the Tilden and Meadow Grove area. On December 23, 1951 Jean was united in marriage to Robert Sheldon in Pipestone, Minnesota. Jean loved to work with mentally disabled adults. She worked at the Glenwood State School in Glenwood, Iowa before moving to Columbus where she worked for Region IV and Northstar. Jean loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo. She loved spending time outside with her dog and cat.
