In Memory of Donald G. Zimmerer

Donald G. Zimmerer, age 45, of Columbus died Friday, September 7, 2007 at his home in Columbus. Funeral service are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2007 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Miksch will officiate. Visitation is Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. There will be a 8:00 p.m. vigil service Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Thursday morning 8-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the All Saints Cemetery.

Donald G. Zimmerer was born September 14, 1961 in Albion, Nebraska to Eugene and Geraldine (Brozek) Zimmerer. He grew up in Lindsay. He received his early education at Lindsay District# 29 Public Elementary School. Don graduated from Newman Grove High School. He was married to Stacey Gaertig on February 14, 1986. He worked in construction, trucking and at MCP. He enjoyed fishing, having received many master angler awards, hunting, ceramics and painting. He was active in Bible study and teaching Point Man at Highland Park Evangelical Free Church.
