Hans H. Schild

 

 

Hans H.  Schild, age 88, of Columbus departed this life Saturday, May 26, 2007 at David Place in David City, Nebraska. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. The Rev. David Fulton will officiate. Family and friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home. There will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Thursday morning 8-10 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial with military honors by American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

 

Hans H. Schild was born May 13, 1919 in Platte County, Nebraska to Walter and Bertha (Lutz) Schild.  He married Hedwig "Agnes" Miller on April 23, 1940 in Fullerton, Nebraska.  He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from May 1944 - March 1946.  Hans worked as an electrician for Consumers Public Power and Dale Electronics for a number of years as well as farming in Platte County for several years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and especially spending time with and doing for his family.  Hans was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, life member of the D.A.V., V.F.W. #3704 and Hartman Post #84 American Legion. He served as State Commander of the D.A.V.

 

He is survived by:
