Richard W. Giles

Richard W. Giles, age 77, of Melbourne, Florida died Monday, July 16, 2007 at his home.  A Memorial Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. 

Richard W. Giles was born January 19, 1930 in Columbus, Nebraska to Richard and Mary "Babe" (Rathbun) Giles.  He married Dolores Jean Bartels on March 4, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska.  Richard moved to Brevard County, Florida from Omaha in 1957 to work in the space program at Cape Kennedy. He retired from RCA, GE and CSR at Patrick Air Force Base.

Daughter: Peggy Jean (Bill) Kurtz of St. Cloud, FL
Daughter: Cathy Ann (Michael) Trickel of Pensacola, FL
Sister: Doris Mae Thraen of Oakdale, MN
