Mrs. Bonk, Gina and family, I was very saddended to hear of the death of your husband/father. Gina, I have very fond memories of us hanging out at your house in high school. Your Dad was such a character and was always teasing us or giving us a hard time. Lots of good laughs and memories. I had the privilage of seeing him in Church not too long ago, and even though he was sick, he still had that smile on his face and ready to give me a bad time. He was a good man. I will miss seeing him when I am in Columbus. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the services, but I will be praying for all of you. God bless all of you and may He watch over you now and always. Mary

Aunt Fran and family, Simply stated, “Our loss is Heaven’s gain”. Uncle Stan was indeed a great man I will always admire. He had a very pleasant way about him & always had that youthful twinkle in his eyes and slight smile when he pulled your leg.....along with his trademark phrase: “Oh you rascal!” Timing is everything. With just a few days until the next Bonk reunion, our family’s faith assures us Uncle Stan is enjoying the Heavenly reunion with those from our family who have passed before us. And he’s probably rounding up some players for a card game with polka music playing in the background. :-) I thank God for giving us someone such as Uncle Stan in our lives. May the Lord comfort and bless you all! -Tim-

Sent by Bonnie (Tim Savage's wife), and Gene Savage's daughter-in-law. My condolences to everyone - we wish we could be there with all of you. I've heard so much about Stan from Tim - especially his practical jokes, and the story about the poker game with Annette, when she beat everyone. What a lovely write-up. With Love, Bonnie

I just heard about Stan. Please tell Bill my heart is with him. And with you and the babies too. I was sad for a moment but thought there is less to be sad about than there is to envy. He had just about everything a good person could ask for, or expect, in a life time. Having a loving spouse for so many years is a blessing unto itself. Wonderful children and grandchildren. A career he enjoyed. Relatively good health until recently. I'm glad for him that he is out of his pain and know he has moved on to a brighter place where he will wait patiently for his woman to join him. Bridgette Askew (Sister of Michelle Bonk)

Aunt Fran & Family, our thought are with you during this time. Uncle Stan will always be remembered as 'Uncle Stand - the sand man'. He use to make us snow mountains at Grandma Bonk's to play on. Bless you and keep you.
