Jeanette C. Maguire, 84, of Columbus died Thursday, February 15 at Elk Ridge Village in Elkhorn. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Monday, February 19 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is after 4:00 pm Sunday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with a Vigil service at 7 pm, also at St. Anthony Church. Visitation will continue Monday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. Jeanette C. Maguire was born April 10, 1922 in St. Bernard, NE to Joseph F. and Mary (Schmitt) Schaefer. After graduating from high school in Lindsay, NE she moved to Rock Island, Il before moving to Humphrey and finally to Columbus in 1956. She was united in marriage to George D. Maguire on September 5, 1944 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay. Jeanette and George were co-founders of Columbus Steel Supply. Jeanette also was an Avon representative for many years. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus where she was a Eucharistic Minister, member of Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters, and a facilitator for the Renew Group. Jeanette also volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary and was instrumental in founding the Simon House. She is survived by:
