In Memory of Fern Korus

Fern Korus, 70, of Columbus died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.  Services are 10:30 am Tuesday, December 11 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus.  Visitation is on Monday from 4-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 6:00 pm, also at the funeral home.  Visitation continues Tuesday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home.  Interment is in All Saints Cemetery.

Fern Korus was born July 21, 1937 in Monroe, NE to Harold and Anna (Green) Keeler.  She attended country schools in Platte County and graduated from Kramer High School in 1955.  Fern attended Beauty College and went to work in Omaha.  She married Donald J. Korus on October 5, 1957.  They moved to Harlan, IA for a short period before returning to Columbus in 1967.  She enjoyed quilting, making rugs, and cooking.
