He was such a special man and so lucky to have such a special and supportive family. I will always have great memories of the time I spent with him. Years ago I worked with him at the Region IV Workshop and then came to realize we were also related on the Welch side. My Grandma Mikkelsen liked hearing about Leo and enjoyed that we had a connection outside of the family also. It was fun to see Leo's strong family work ethic and the "farm" values he had within him. It was also amazing to see the support Leo got from his family and the way he was included in so many activities and events and the lives of his extended family.
