To my immediate family --- I am so sorry of the passing of my Uncle Donnie - but relieved at the same time. For this reason, I know he will have not suffered at the hands of the disease. Family was and is everything and we do have a close-knit one at that. Don knows we all love him and care so much for him. A great person indeed. His quiet presence at so mnay gatherings will be missed very much. Peace to you Uncle Donnie in heaven above, and peace to all his family on earth. Our family's deepest sympathy and great love go out to all to all.

Our deepest sympathies! Don was a wonderful soft hearted man that had a special fondness for his brother Bernie and family. We have enjoyed the brief time together and know he will be deeply missed. His spirit will indeed live on in others. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Dear Uncle Bernie, Jim and Maryann and Family. I am sorry I was not able to attend Uncle Don's service's. Everyone, especially Don was on my mind the entire week. Ole Don is going to be missed by many people. He touched so many lives in his own special way. I will never forget the first time I saw Don (I wasn't even dating Jamie yet - thats how long ago it was 25+ years). I was working for Gerholds (for 3 days out of high school) laying cement on the new addition north of where the alafa mill was. Big ass dump truck pulls up with seeming perfection in the turns and brakes. I look up and this little man jumps out - Don with not a care in his ways. I just remember that very first impression. Later, I would see him at the Double T occasionaly and then after starting to date his niece Jamie I would see him at just about every Holiday and family function. Those Holiday's will be a little different now. Unless someone picks up for Don there will be a few less jokes told, maybe a few less laughs. Don's defined laughter will surely be missed. Tears are flowing as I write. Gotta go. Godspeed Uncle Don. Keep the door open for us. Steve
