In Memory of George Hoadley

George Hoadley, age 83, of Platte Center died Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Mid Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove. Funeral service are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 200 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. The Rev. Rodney Kneifl will officiate. Burial will be in the Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday after 5:00 p.m. at the church. There will be a vigil service held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

George P. Hoadley was born March 17, 1924 in Lindsay, Nebraska to John A. and Mary (Connelly) Hoadley. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII from March 1943 - February 1946. On July 15, 1944 he was united in marriage to Medarda A. Dreifurst in Los Angeles, California. The couple lived in California before returning to the area in 1966. George worked at D & L before becoming head custodian at Lakeview High School for 16 years until retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
