Name: Judith K. Puetz commentsTo Elaine’s family – I was saddened to hear of your mother’s passing last night, but am joyful for her because she has entered her new life. I worked with Elaine at the Columbus Telegram and she made me smile every day. If I was down about something I knew I could just stop by her office and chat for a bit and I’d feel better when I left! Last January Carol and Phyllis (2 more former Telegram workmates) and I had the privilege of spending a Sunday afternoon with her to celebrate her 80th birthday. I had not seen Elaine for a few years and we just had the very best time together! She was, indeed, “Queen of the Manor” during her birthday week. Her sense of humor was her greatest gift and I will smile and remember the good times whenever I think of her. She was the best! Judy Puetz Name: Marlys Degn commentsMany years ago I worked with Elaine at the Telegram. We had many good times together. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Marlys Degn Name: Carol Keller commentsTo Elaine's family - I had the honor of working with Elaine at the Telegram. We all liked Elaine and appreciated her intelligence, wit and sense of humor. She was so capable and talented, but was ever modest about her accomplishments. I am so glad that I was able to be part of her 80th birthday celebration in January. She will be missed.
