Wilfred "Bud" A. Henggeler, 86, of Columbus died Friday, September 8, 2006 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 10:30 am Monday at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation is on Sunday from 4-7 pm with a 7:00 pm Vigil service, all at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Benedictine Missionary in Schuyler or to the families wishes. Wilfred "Bud" A. Henggeler was born December 3, 1919 in Cornlea, Nebraska to Peter and Mary (Dischner) Henggeler. He was raised in Cornlea where he attended schools. On June 30, 1941, Wilfred married Helen Bender in Humphrey. Wilfred farmed North of Columbus for 27 years before moving to Lincoln where he worked for Seal Right Window and Door for 10 years and Mid-State Pest Control for seven years. Wilfred retired and returned to Columbus in 1988. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Eagles Club, 50 & 50 Club, and the Knights of Columbus.
