Lucille G. Munson, age 87, of Columbus died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Beverly Health Care in Columbus.  Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2006,  at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus with the Reverend Bill Ritter officiating.  Interment will be in Columbus Cemetery.  Visitation is 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at McKown Funeral Home and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Lucille Munson was born July 26, 1919, in Boone County, Nebraska to Conrad J. and Clara (Orender) Knutsen. She graduated from Albion High School in 1937. She married Roy W. Munson on March 15, 1941, in Pierce, Nebraska. The couple moved to Columbus in 1951. She was employed by the Columbus City Clerk office from 1965-1985 and finished her career as City Clerk. Lucille was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and did volunteer work in the church office. She enjoyed gardening and playing the organ.
