In the years past we used to be close, but through the years we have grown apart. This is sad due to friends should never grow apart. Your father's passing is that he can be with members of family and friends that have passed before. He is truly in a much Greater place. He was a good man to all and a loving parent. The heart is hurting but after time it will heal due to family and friends that are offering prayers and those that will stand beside you. Your Dad was such a great role model and mentor for Dennis, beginning when he was a young boy spending summers with your Dad on the farm. Through the years they had so much in common, from hunting and fishing to gardening and their ever-growing interest in artifacts. Your parents made me feel comfortable the very first time I met them. They were so warm and gracious, always opening their home to us and making us feel welcome. He was a great guy and we will all miss him. What a comfort to know that he is resting in the everlasting arms of the Lord, all safe and secure from all the illness and physical infirmities. I feel so blessed to have known him and your mother and for them to have been a part of my family's life.
