In Memory of John W. Inks Sr.

John W. Inks Sr., age 56 of Columbus died Friday, November 24.030, 2006 in Oakland, Nebraska. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. The Rev. Michael V. Klatt will officiate. Military honors will be performed by American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard.

John W. Inks, Sr was born December 28, 1949 in Tillemook, Oregon to Lester and Charlotte (Engelbrecht) Inks. He grew up in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from July 25 1969 until January 26, 1971. He moved to Columbus in 1973. He worked at various jobs including the Coffee Pot Cafe in Columbus. He was currently working at the Coffee Pot Cafe in South Sioux City, Nebraska. He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved watching Star Trek. He was a kind, caring and loving man. He had a great sense of humor.
