Viola C. Wieser, 87, of Columbus died Friday, March 3, 2006 at her home in Columbus. Services are 10:30 Tuesday, March 7 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation begins on Monday after 3:00 pm at McKown Funeral Home. There will be a Vigil Service at 6:30 pm, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Tuesday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery in rural Humphrey. Viola C. Wieser was born February 2, 1919 in Platte County to Frank and Mary (Frauendorfer) Brandl. She was raised in Cornlea where she attended schools. She married Harold Wieser on July 1, 1941 in Cornlea. The couple farmed south of Humphrey. Viola worked at home and raised her family before going to work at Becton-Dickinson for 23 1/2 years. After Harold's death in 1979, Viola moved to Columbus. She retired in 1981. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus and the Christian Mothers. She is survived by:
