commentsOh, could "Opa" Sal ever make a Button Box purr....heaven awaits your wit, laughter, talent and music. Thanks for being there for my daughter and for my "Pete" .... you were truly a God-send! You will be most tenderly missed. Ride in the light, dear smiling soul.
commentsMarilyn, I am so sorry to read of Sal's passing away. I just seen him last week at Mory's when I was there to visit Mom. I'll never forget the good times I had working with him.We use to have so much fun at work together, and after work together. (Drinking beer) Listening to him and his ole "polish ways" Sal is 1 man I will truely miss.
commentsMy heart goes out to all who were as fortunate as I to have had their lives touched by Sal. Sal was such a gentle man, a man that seemed to genuinely sparkle with happiness. Some of my fondest memories of Sal were of him playing and singing those "oh so funny" words while playing his accordian. I sure wish I could've learned just what it was he was singing, I'm certain they were happy and beautiful lyrics. I'll never forget as a young child watching in awe as Sal cleaned a turtle he had caught on one of his many fishing adventures. It is hard to imagine that a man who has forever been a big part of our family has moved on but I'm pretty sure Sal is Heaven catching the biggest of fish and tending to God's garden now. I certainly am going to miss him.
commentsSincere sympathy to all of you. Sal has no more pain -- and we know the fishing will be good in heaven. Denise
commentsMarilyn, you have my deepest sympathy. Even though I had not seen Sal for a while, he would cross my mind from time to time, especially when my friends and I would talk about the times working at Matt Pack. He was a joy and a character to work with and know as a friend and a co-worker. If I stop and think of some of the dumb things we use to do and say at work - I can still hear Sal's laugh. Sal and I had both decided that we were smarter then the rest of our co-workers because we were both polish. We figured that they were all jealous. On visiting Sal on a few occasions, I remember him having a shot or two with his beers. Sal's "Ompa" was another special trait of his. I know Sal is now in heaven just a fishin and a singin. I will miss Sal very much - but all my thoughts of Sal will always make me smile. My condolences and prayers to the family.
