Dear Feehan Family: I am saddened to hear of your loss but I know you will treasure the many wonderful memories you hold. My parents, Lee and Virginia Nicolas of Shelby, thought so much of your parents and your family. I know they had many good times through the KC outings. Please know that we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. Sincerely, Jane (Nicolas) and Charlie Caselman Andale, Kansas

Dear Feehan Family, You are in my thoughts and prayers... I'm deeply sorry for your loss and for the community's loss. Leonard was my friend and the friend to so many. Dear Mary, Mrs. Feehan and the Feehan clan, I have never sent condolences via email before, so you know in what esteem we hold all of you. First, we are all so sorry to hear of Mr. Feehan's passing, although I thought he might make it to his birthday as Aunt Grace made it to hers. Columbus will be the poorer today due to Leonard's absence, but heaven will be richer because of his presence. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, friend and an outstanding example of someone who lived and shared his Catholic faith wherever he was. He will be sorely missed. Love always, Carl and Jeanne DeRuyscher and family

My wife Lorraine and I extend our sympathy to the Feehan family on behalf of ourselves and the 84,000 Knights of Columbus members here in Texas. We first met Leonard and his family when we joined the Knights of Columbus in North Platte, Nebraska, back in 1967. Our paths have crossed many times over the years and we have always respected Leonard for this dedication to his family, the Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus. May his soul rest in peace.

Leonard Patrick -- passing several days shy of another St. Patrick's "birth" Day. Very helpful parishioner of St. Bonaventure. I remember him faithfully counting the weekend collection on Monday mornings. Also very dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus -- "fifth" degree! I'll miss his cheerful smile & laugh. God rest his soul. Love to Cecelia.

Pat and Kelly, so sorry to hear of Leonard's passing. Only wanting you to know I am thinking of you and your family now and in the days to come. It is never easy losing a parent, weather you know it is coming or not. Pat, I am sure your 'twisted sense of humor' and faith will make things easier for everyone in the days that follow with out your Dad. It was great seeing you a couple weeks ago in Columbus, I can rest knowing you have not changed. Did you let Kelly know there was a 'sighting?' Thinking of you all with sincere sympathy.

Anita, Mrs. Feehan and the rest of the Feehan family. My prayers are with you during this time. Your father, Anita, was a person’s whose presence was always known even though he was a very quiet man. I remember coming into Williams Bros store while Anita was working and goofing around. Mr. Feehan would never raise his voice but would always in a gentle way tell Anita to get back to work….Your father was truly a very spiritual person and one that was given a great deal of respect not only from his peers but from your friends, Anita, while we were growing up. God bless all of you and I hope all of you find peace in knowing that he will still be looking after you from above. With sincere sympathy……Chris (Davidson) Insinger.

To Cece & the Feehan family; My sympathies on losing Leonard. I grew up in Columbus, and St Bonaventure Parish, and being as tall as I was, Williams Bros was one of the few places I could find clothes that fit me. I have memories of coming in from time to time, and getting fitted and measured by Leonard. Always such a pleasant experience if Leonard was there. I also enjoyed visiting with him at the KC State convention in North Platte last year. I am unable to get back to Columbus for any of the services due to Knights of Columbus responsibilities, and my work schedule. So, in place of being there, St Philip Neri Council 5287 in Omaha, will say our own prayers for Leonard tonight at our regular monthly Council meeting. God Bless Tim Kiuntke Grand Knight St Philip Neri Council 5287 Omaha NE

Cece, Pat & Kelly and Feehan family. Our sympathies to you all during this sad time. We always enjoyed visiting with Leonard; he always had a good story to tell and made you feel so comfortable being around him like you had known him forever. He always looked like a "million bucks" in his corduroy pants and shiny shoes. I'm sure he will be having a green beer up in Heaven with his pals on St. Patrick's Day. Love to you all.

Dear Feehan's I'm sorry I was unable to make it to the rosary /service for Leonard tonight. Call it Ironic but due to the fact that Ash Wednseday was the 1st Wed. of the month we (the Shamrock Club) postponed our regular meeting until tonight Mar. 8th. Because I am the current President of the booster club I couldn't make it to the service. Please know that we started our opening prayer for Leonard and those soul's who have given so much to Scotus. I am truly proud to have known Leonard and you his family. You all should be very proud of him and the legacy that he has left. Know that both he and you his family are in our prayers. Due to work obligations I will not be able to attend the funeral but, my wife Anne will be attending the funeral tomorrow. Please know that you are all in my prayers. Thank you for Leonard, he will truly be missed. God Bless. Pat Novicki

To All of Leonard's family: We extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to all of you. That goes without saying, but I have to say that after today's funeral and last nights vigil, you are just an amazing family! You handle everything with such grace, dignity, sincerity and friendliness. Even though your hearts are breaking, you are so genuine in your caring for others. I wanted to speak last night, but I was not brave enough, and I swear when I get nervous, so I didn't think either Father Tom or Leonard would appreciate that! So I want to put into words what I wanted to say about your Dad. First of all, buying a house 27 years ago, who would have thought we would be lucky enough to have such wonderful neighbors, especially ones with ties to the HolyLand! Getting the Citizen from your Dad every Thursday with an update on an article or a GREELEY story made Thursday's a day I looked forward to each week. There were many times I would stop in for a "minute," and a half hour or so later, would leave with another story about someone from Greeley fresh in my mind. But one thing that I thought you would like to know, was about the road trip home from Greeley with Leonard and your Uncle Cecil. I had been staying in Greeley with my Dad when he was sick, and for some reason, didn't have a car back then with me. Leonard and his brother were in Greeley for something and they offered me a ride home back to Columbus. Well the night before, my Dad decided he wanted to drink a FEW beers one more time. Well, we finished our FEW beers when they blinked the lights at Whistle's. Needless to say, I was not feeling the best when Leonard and Cec picked me up. Talk about a LOOOONNNNGGGG ride home! I think Leonard talked extra loud just for my benefit, and Cec didn't drive very fast. I was so thankful for the ride and the conversation was great, but I was even more thankful I was finally home!! You will all always be in our hearts and we will always miss Leonard, and we will watch over your Mom. Kayla & Floyd

Les & I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all of the Feehan Family. How can I ever forget the way that you all welcomed me into your home to live with you, in order that I could graduate from my beloved Scotus. It is a gift that is much more meaningful to me now that we ourselves are parents of a 22 yr. old son & 17 yr. old daughter. I was made to feel welcome by all of you, and will never forget all of the kindness that you all showed me during that time. I will carry all of the warmth & the memory of Leonard's smile with me all of my remaining days. You are all an inspirational family who made me a better person for having spent time with you. May God continue to bless your family in the days to come with strength that comes from knowing how much of a difference Leonard has made in so many of our lives. Cece and family--sorry we were unable to offer our condolences in person. Leonard was such a great role model for so many people. He was so dependable in his lectoring, and did such a good job. I don't know if I'll last as long as he did--they may have to retire me before that. St. Bons, the Knights of Columbus, and the whole comunity has lost a wonderful man. St. Pat's Day he and his brothers will be able to celebrate his birthday in heaven. Your family is in our prayers.
