commentsOur thoughts are with you in this time of need.
commentsDear Duane and family: Please accept our deepest sympathies in the death of Art Gabriel. We know that for some time his health was failing. As time passes thoughts of age and infirmity will fade and be replaced by the happier and more meaningful memories. Blessings to you, Randy and Susan Dinsdale

commentsSorry I won't be able to be with you at this time, am glad I did get to see Art and the family last week.
commentsDear Duane, Sue and family, Chris and I are thinking of all of you and sending our prayers... Art was wonderful! He had a wonderful since of humor which I enjoyed so much. It was so great to have known him. Eileen, we are thinking of you too. The Lord is there beside you so remember to lean on Him. We are sorry we cannot be at the rosary, but we will be at Art's celebration of life on Wednesday. Please know you are in our hearts at this time... God bless you all and love, Chris and Pam
commentsThe following letter, dated February 12, 1756, was written to Elizabeth Hubbard. Benjamin Franklin attempts to console a sorrowing heart and at the same time share his views on death. Dear Child, I condole with you, we have lost a most dear and valuable relation, but it is the will of God and Nature that these mortal bodies be laid aside, when the soul is to enter into real life; ‘tis rather an embryo state, a preparation for living. A man is not completely born until he is dead. Why then should we grieve that a new child is born among the immortals? A new member added to their happy society. That bodies should be lent us is a kind and benevolent act of God. When they become unfit for these purposes and afford us pain instead of pleasure—instead of an aid, become an encumbrance and answer none of the intentions for which they were given—it is equally kind and benevolent that a way is provided by which we may get rid of them. Death is that way. We ourselves often prudently choose a partial death. In some cases a mangled painful limb, which cannot be restored, is willingly cut off. He who plucks out a tooth, parts with it freely, since the pain goes with it; and thus a person surrenders the whole body and departs at once, for with it goes all pain and possibilities of pain, all diseases and suffering. Thus, we are invited abroad on a party of pleasure that is to last forever. Perhaps a loved one has gone before us. We could not all conveniently start together, and why should we be grieved at this, since we are soon to follow, and we know where to find him or her. Adieu, Benjamin Franklin
