commentsI have know Lil for around 20 years. I regard Lil as a very fine lady. Lil was not know by many but the friends that she did have were fine friends. My son who has Ace Sanitation would pick up Lil's garbage when she called him. Her husband had passed away before this and it came down to the fact that she trusted my son and I on advice that we gave Lil and the work that we performed for her. She told me she thought my son was one of the finer young fellows in Columbus. I did many repair and odd jobs for Lil during the years I knew her all the way from repairing her Mother-in-law's 100 year old Singer sewing machine, to plumbing repairs, putting batteries in smoke detectors and she had me install a new counter top stove and new built in electric oven and she was pleased with the installations. I never charged Lil much for the work I did for her as she was such a fine lady, and a senior citizen like myself and Lil was too nice a lady for anyone to take advantage of. She trusted my son and I which was nice on our part to think that a lady as fine as Lil, trusted us that much to do things for her knowing that the work would get done and not be taken advantage of. I would have conversations with Lil when I did the repair jobs and she was a very nice person to talk to. One time her bird bath was breaking up and I repaired it and painted it blue, and that cement bird bath meant much to Lil as Lil could get more happiness out of this bird bath, flowers, her garden and her white fencing than any other person. Her big pine tree on the northeast corner of her house was another pride and joy item for Lil. Lil had concern for good people. The friendship that my son and I had with Lil was what I call Respect. Lil had great Respect for Don and I and we had great respect for Lil. Lil hated to think that she had reached 90 years Young and people wanted to celebrate her 90 years with cards. I told her she deserved the recognition that it brought and to enjoy the fact she had lived so long. Lil will be missed by the friends she had and she had worked hard in life to earn this respect so with her passing, she deserves the long awaited rest and the respect that her friends had for her. We will miss Lil. Richard Peterson

commentsYou already know how much we all enjoyed Lil during her short stay at Southview. We truly feel a void without her. I know I really enjoyed pitching in to help care for her. What a "spunky" lady! My thoughts and prayers to you! (Thanks Jim for sharing this website)
