commentsTo the Gonka family - I was saddened to learn about Bill's passing away. I have known him for about 14 - 15 years as he was a client at our office. I can truly say that he was one of the best persons I met while working here! When he would come in I was always happy to help him and when finished we would spend time just chatting about "things". I really enjoyed those times. He was a wonderful gentleman and I will miss seeing him. My sympathy to all of you. Judy Puetz
commentsMy deceased husband, Frank, and I met Bill and Eleanor when they first started attending the Sr. Center. He and Frank kidded each other about making any money on the Columbus Races on Dollar night. Bill had a good sense of humor, was always a gentleman. You should be proud of him. It was a privilege to have known him. My deepest sympathy to the family.
commentsWe loved coming back to Columbus and spending time with Uncle Willie. He was always so interested in what we were doing with our volunteering in Michigan, and he would share with us the many ways he helped out a lot of people in Columbus with his time and caring ways. He looked so much like my Dad, and reminded me of him in many ways. He was so kind, and never complained of his illness. I am so proud to be related to this great person who served our country in WWII, and served well so we can enjoy the wonderful freedom that we have here in America. He has now gone to his much deserved eternal reward where happiness will never end. He left great footprints on this earth, and the world is a better place because of him. Eternal rest to him. He will be missed.
commentsWe are saddened to hear about the death of Uncle Bill. I remember, as a child, the times he came by our house in his military uniform. I also remember those delicious ham sandwiches he and Dad made at the Ron Dez Vous. Don't think I've had a better one since! After Dad died, George and I kept in touch with him and Rosie and Helen when we came to Columbus. We'll miss him and we share your sorrow.
commentsDonna, Mike and Gonka family, Linda and I want to offer our sympathies to all of you. I remember your folks on my paper route when I was a kid....fine man he was. George.
commentsDear Donna, Kathi, and Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. God Bless, Tonja Lusche
commentsDear Family; I will miss the daily conversations with Bill. He shared with me stories I'd never heard about when he and my dad played baseball-and about all the windows they'd break during homerun contests. He came to the Center for dinner every day, and would then stay for cards. I miss his smile, and his wisdom already; I will remember him always...
commentsKathi: I am sorry to hear of your dad's death. I know you will miss him very much. I last visited with him and you at the Christmas dinner.
commentsDear Family, Please accept our sincere sympathies. Bill was one of my favorite patients, as we used to swap war stories on a weekly basis. He was one of the good guys! Love, Warren & Berdean Miller
commentsDear Donna & Kathi: So sorry to hear of your dad passing away. It can be so hard sometimes. You will just have to relive all the good memories that you have. Thank goodness you have your faith and your families. I just lost my dad two weeks ago so I know exactly how hard it is for you. Keeping you in my prayers. Sharon Evans
commentsDonna,Jennifer,Kathy & families my deepest symphathy goes out to your family at this difficult time. We know oh so well what you are going thru since we also was up at the hospital with our mom going thru the same thing as you was waiting for God to end the pain. Bill and mom are once again living in the same place but this time they are pain free and enjoying the time with all their loves ones who have been waiting for them to come to them for such a long time. It was great to see you Donna and Jennifer at the hospital but wish it was under better terms. I know I will never forget the times we spent at your house and playing around the monuments. May God Bless you all. cindy |
