You have our deepest sympathy.
commentsBrent, Kelsey and Morgan - Val was a dear friend to us. She always had a smile and was an optimist till the end. You must know that you each are her investment in the future. Please keep to the high road and make her proud from her perch in heaven above. She will make you strong and keep you safe. We will miss her and her presence in our lives, but are better people for having known your Mom and watched her win her daily battles, but in the end, going to a great reward. God bless each of you! Please do keep in touch! Ron & Jeri

commentsOur prayers go out to Val's family. We knew Val thru James Arthur. She would serve the wine at our art show every year at Mahoney State Park. She was so much fun to have there. Please accept our condolences. Loren and Michelle Goedeken
commentsTo the family of Val. I worked Valerie years ago at B-D, and there was never a dull moment. What a great woman, so full of life. Know that my thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time. Will be there for support at the benefit. Dawn(Martensen)Olson
commentsAlthough we didn't know Val well. We had wonderful conversations with her when she was employed at Duster's and having a common interest in wine and beer making, she visited us once at our home at Duncan Lakes. She was a warm and insightful person. We will think of her often with kind thoughts.
commentsKelsey, We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We hug you!
commentsOur deepest sympathies to your family. Your mother was truly a wonderful person. Some our fondest memories was one fourth of July when we were still living in Platte Center, you all(minus Brent) stopped by our house and we lit off fireworks together. I think it was one of the first times we met? Then there was when we would get Morgan to babysit, Chris always had to pick her up just so he could talk to Val about what new wine/beer/brandy she was working on(maybe get a sampler). How could we forget all the work she did for Erin's benefit? She touched our lives and I want you to know we will never forget her. Here for you-Chris, Holli, Grant, Luke, Angel Erin, Laura, and Aidan Bettenhausen
commentsOur sympathy in the loss of your mother. We did not know her well but enjoyed seeing and visiting with her at Dusters and at her wine tasting event.
commentsTo Val's family, we will deeply miss Val's presence in NWGGA, and with all her support in the wine and grape industry. We came to know Val through NWGGA the last 5 years, and always looked forward to talking with her, and sampling her wonderful wines. She was truly a special person, and we are grateful to have shared a small moment of her life. We express our sympathies to you.
commentsI am so sorry for the loss of your Mother, Sister and Daughter. Mom (Lyla Slack) had been keeping me updated with news of Val. We are all so very, very sorry for your loss. If there is anything at all that we can do for any of you at this time or anytime in the future, please know that we are here.
commentsVal was a special person, I really didn't know her that well. Whenever I would see her she was always happy. It was usually the All Girls Christmas Party. She took me to a wine tasting in Duncan that was really fun. I had been emailing her for 6 months or so. Trying to make her laugh if I could. Sorry to hear she is gone, but she is in Heaven with God! I know that for sure. May God help you through this hard time.
commentsWould like to tell you all how much I liked Val. Only met her a couple of years ago but liked her immediately. She had that effect on people. She will be missed
commentsVal was a very sweet and fun-loving person. She will be greatly missed by the Girls Night Out Girls Annual Christmas Party group she attended yearly with all of us. My deepest sympathy to her family.
commentsMorgan, your mother was a great person that touched many lives. I will always remember how she would make my husband Randy laugh, such a joy to watch them. Randy knew Val from BD and Duster's. Val would tell Randy he could beat his cancer, he tried as your mother did. Chris and I lost Randy over a year ago, but the memories will last forever, just as your memories of your mother will forever be with you. I will think of Val every time I see a grape vine or a bottle of wine. Morgan, if you ever need anything, just call 564-0481 May God Bless you and your family. Regards, Lynn & Chris |
