In Memory of Grace Oppliger

Grace Oppliger, age 82, of Columbus, Nebraska died Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Miksch will officiate. Visitation is Monday 4-8 pm at the McKown Funeral Home. A vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning 8-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials.

Grace Oppliger was born February 11, 1924 in Platte County, Nebraska to John "Ego" and Julia (Speicher) Kopetzky. She received her early ducation at Platte County District #9 and graduated from Kramer High in Columbus.
Grace married Walter H. Oppliger on February 9, 1948 in Columbus, Nebraska. Along with raising her family she had previously worked at Jordan's Bakery. Grace enjoyed sports, especially Nebraska volleyball and football. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
