Aloys J. Beiermann, 93, of Columbus died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:00 am Saturday, February 18 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is after 5 pm Friday at St. Isidore's with a 7 pm Vigil Service, also at the church. Visitation continues Saturday morning from 9 am until service time at the church. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery in rural Humphrey.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Isidore Church Building Fund.

Aloys John Beiermann was born April 13, 1912 on the farm in rural Lindsay to Charles and Helen (Sueper) Beiermann.  He was raised in Lindsay and the St. Bernard area.  On September 24, 1941 he was united in marriage to Cecilia Wemhoff in Humphrey.  In 1946 they moved to the St. Mary’s Community where he farmed until retiring in 1978.  Aloys also worked as a mechanic for Beller & Backes Implement in Humphrey from 1967-1980.  He moved to Columbus in 1982.  Aloys was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Name Society.  He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, and playing cards.
