Name: Kimberly Norton commentsLeona was always a big part of our lives. She was always a joy to be around and she will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. The Norton Name: Cindy (Petermann) Gronenthal commentsYou have my deepest sympathy. Your mom was my God Parent from when I was confirmed at Federated Church many years ago. I still have the blanket she gave me as a gift. I always remember going to your parents house to visit and always will remember how your mom just had to show the new trick their black lab learned. She will deeply missed by all but what I will truly remember is how spunky she was and just new how or what to say to make someone laugh. God Bless you and your families through this difficult time. Cindy Petermann Gronenthal & family Name: Jim & Phyllis Selig commentsDear Tommy and Vance, Your parents were very special neighbors to us on North Parkway. We were planning to stop in David City on the 23rd on our way to Columbus for Christmas to see Leona. We will always have special memories of her and the times we shared. Our thoughts are with you. Jim & Phyllis Selig Name: Mary Sharpe commentsTo the Family of Leona, My heart aches with you in your loss. Leona was a special lady. She was so sweet and kind. I loved her smile and laughter. I used to deliver the Omaha World Hearld to Leona & Vance when they lived in North Parkway many years ago, but Leona & Vance would always take time out of their day to visit with me when I was out doing my collections for my paper route. They were very special people to me with talking about their home in New Zealand. Your family will allows be in my prayers. Your Truly, Rich Miller Name: Cindy Heavican commentsI will never forget the day I met Leona, the day she came to live with us at david place. From the very beginning, she filled many of my nursing shifts with smiles, laughter, and disbelief. I never knew what she was going to say, do, or which way her "head" was going to be on. We shared conversation about life, about Columbus, and about "her boys". I am thankful that I had the opportunity to meet her and share her final months. |
