commentsWhere do I begin! With people that you have known all of your life...and what they have done for you. I respected Mr. & Mrs Merrill with the upmost dignity that they deserved. Mrs. Merrill was the most gracious, intelligent, and one of the loveliest women that I had the privilege to know. Definitely an inspirational person to me and many others, I am sure. I felt very lucky and blessed to have known her and her family. Love Kathy
commentsGrandma, you're in a beautiful place now and in good hands. I love you and will miss you.
commentsNo one could have more loving memories than I do for my grandma. I was lucky enough to have spent my summers as a child/teenager with her in Columbus and then to have her stay here in Lewisville with my parents for the winter. Sunday dinners at her house in Columbus were family time. With my Uncle Bill and his family, the basement was always filled with laughter and there was never an empty stomach with Grandma having cooked the best meals ever. We will never have a pie like she could make! Grandma was an incredible prayer warrior and had a direct line to God and used it often with all the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids that she loved. We have all lost a very intricate part of our lives but with memories, Grandma will always be with us. I love you Grandma. Dawn
commentsI was so very sorry to hear of your loss. I know that your Mother was a very important person in your life as all mothers are. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Vicki
commentsGrandma Jo was the most loving person I ever knew. Over the last few years she said she didn't know why she was still here. I know that she was here for us, to be a wonderful example of love and faith. I love you Grandma I'll miss you. You're in a better place now. XOXO Steve
commentsTo the entire Merrill family: My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I have so many wonderful memories of your mother and grandmother - what a wonderfully kind and gracious woman. A couple that really stand out - her walking to work every day. On occasion we walked a few blocks together on my way to school. Another memory is of her walking to church - so devoted to her faith. I lost track of her after my parents died but remember visiting with her at Beverly Healthcare when she had broken her hip a few years ago. A very special woman who will forever be in my heart. With deepest sympathy, Gayle
commentsTo the Merrill family, Please know we are thinking of your family as we heard the news that Grandma Merrill died. Dale has many fond memories of Grandma Merrill when he and Chris were spending time together. She was so good to Chris and all his siblings. What a gift she must have been as a mother and grandmother. It's comforting to know she is with Chris and all her loved ones once again. Dale and Teresa Zuerlein

commentsMrs. Merrill was a guiding light to our mother, Margaret when we lived across the street from the Merrill's in Columbus. She was always an inspiration to successful women who survived the loss of their husband and continued a complete and fulfilling life. She will be missed.

commentsBill and family - our thoughts and prayers go out to you over the loss of your Mother. As a next door neighbor for years, your Mother was such an inspiration and wonderful lady - I will never forget her kindness. Also, she was the person who signed the paperwork for my wedding license almost 32 years ago. God Bless Your Family.

commentsI remember your mom walking by our house on her way to work for years. My dad worked with her at the Court House and always spoke so highly of her work and of her personality. Mary Ann, I remember the times we used to go to the Park by your house and visit--and occasionally sneak a cigarette. You had a very lovely mother--someone to be very proud of.
commentsTo the Merrill family. My condolences. I remember being with Sue and walking over to her Grandma's house and she always seemed to have chocolate chip cookies or some kind of snack for us. She was a very loving person. May you find comfort in knowing that she is now in a better place. |
