In Memory of Gladys M. Borowiak

Gladys M. Borowiak, age 66, of Silver Creek, Nebraska died Thursday, October 13, 2005 at the Columbus Community Hospital.  Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2005 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus.  Burial is in the All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.  Visitation is 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.  Visitation continues Monday morning from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.

Gladys M. Borowiak was born November 5, 1938 in Columbus, Nebraska to Hugo and Martha (Lutjelusche) Muhle. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1958 and from Joseph's Beauty College in Grand Island. On September 16, 1961 Gladys was united in marriage to Donald Borowiak at Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois. The couple lived in Chicago until returning to Columbus in 1965 where they raised their children as member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. In 1990 the couple moved to Silver Creek where they own and operate Don's Auto Sales and D & D Auto Transport. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, family and friends, cooking holiday meals, decorating, flowers, gardening and traveling.
