In Memory of Marie Anderson

Marie D. Anderson age 95 of Columbus formerly of Duncan died Saturday; March 5, 2005 at Morys Haven in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday; March 9, 2005 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. The Rev. Frank Jindra will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-8 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service all at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in Duncan.

Marie D. Anderson was born July 27, 1909 in Sioux City, Iowa to Louis and Catherine (Tragarz) Paczosa. She received her early education at St. Stanislaus School in Duncan and attended St. Francis School of Nursing in Grand Island, Nebraska. She worked as a registered nurse at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. In 1969 she became the first aid nurse at the Veterans Administration Depot in Chicago. In 1976 she retired and returned to Duncan. Marie entered Morys Haven in 1999. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and St. Ann's Sodality.
